The trainers of the Intercultural Navigator are:

Matti Straub

Head of Education
Coach, Organizational Developer, Project Manager, KaosPilot
Developer and head of the Intercultural Navigator leadership training. Matti Straub is a graduated KaosPilot. He has founded and is directing the consulting firm Changels GmbH, where he works as a coach, organizational developer and facilitator for complex change processes. Jodok Kobelt

Journalist
Freelance moderator and journalist. Due to his longtime employment at various national radio stations (at DRS1, 2 and 3), Jodok Kobelt has an intimate knowledge of official radio making. His interest in World and Ciné-Music has brought him into a variety of projects – he accompanied and documented a number of African music and cultural projects for the Swiss Development Corporation (SDC). After acting as audio director of the online editorial office swisscontent (serving, among others, the Swiss post website yellowworld) for two years he has been acting as a freelance moderator, journalist (radio and online), communication planner and documentary film maker. Among other projects, Jodok Kobelt has documented the town development process in Covasna, Romania, which is being facilitated by Changels GmbH.

 

Simon Niederhauser

Marketing Specialist and Trainer

Simon Niederhauser is a former member of the head marketing team of one of Bern's largest department stores, Loeb. Today he is co-owner of intake ltd. where he works as a marketing specialist in retail business, a subject he also regularly teaches at various institutes. He has created the practice-oriented training "Marketing Assistant" for Migros Klubschule, one of Switzerland's largest educational institutions. In addition, he is currenlty developing a practice-oriented training "Sales Manager Retail Business", a custom-made further education for prospective or experienced leaders in retail business. He is the father of two boys and lives in Boll near Berne. In the Intercuultural Navigator his theme is the effective selling of projects.

 

 

Karl Johannes Rechsteiner

PR specialist
Karl Johannes Rechsteiner is a graduated PR specialist (BR/SPRG) and has headed his firm rechsteiner pr for fourteen years. He acts as PR consultant for small and medium firms and organizations, with a focus on NGOs engaged in education, socially and ecologically sustainable development, fair trade, and so on (e.g. Caritas Bern, Drahtesel (unemployment project which repairs old bikes in Switzerland and exports them to Africa), Ministry of Education of the Kanton Bern, KIDS-travel guide, Landdienst/Power beim Bauer (Youth program for working on farms in Switzerland), Sehhilfe Bern.
Karl J. rechsteiner was a longtime vice president of the international oecumenic development association Oikocredit, which is specialized in fair credits and microcredits for projects in developing countries. He also owns a café and acts as an exam expert and professor for PR at the University of Fribourg.


Daniel Steiner

Fiduciary
Daniel Steiner has been running his financial consulting firm tst Treuhand with 4 collaborators for 10 years now. He teaches financial management, bookkeeping and associated entrepreneurial topics at various further education institutions in Berne. He mainly advises small and medium-sized firms, but among his customers are also large firms such as the UBS, for whom he implemented a web-based financial tool for young entrepreneurs. Daniel Steiner has been part of the Intercultural Navigator training team since its second running.

Apart from these regular trainers, there may be stop-over guests.
